Kim Bullock is the youngest great
grandchild of Carl and Madonna Ahrens.
She has an MA in English from Iowa State
University and is currently writing a
novel about Carl Ahrens titled The Oak Lovers. She would be interested in hearing
from anyone who has stories or information
on Ahrens, particularly of time with his first
wife, Emily, and their children, as that
information is scarce. She would also love
to hear from anyone who owns any work by
Ahrens - painting or print - regardless of
whether or not the work is for sale. She is
compiling a catalog of all known work and
has located almost 300 pieces so far.
Bullock lives in Dallas, Texas with her
husband and two daughters.
As of July 2009, Kim is a contributor on a blog called What Women Write. Many of her posts will discuss her upcoming book on Carl.
