This photo is of Eleanor Douglas, Carl's
second cousin. Eleanor lived with Carl and his first family from roughly 1893 to 1900, including the time they lived on the Ojibwa reservation outside Southampton, Ontario.
Eleanor was a well-known landscape painter in her own right, clearly influenced by Carl. She worked with him in the potter-shop on the Roycroft campus in 1900.
Photo from the collection of Heather Oswald.
