This sketch of Carl Ahrens is by an unknown artist. The original was found in a scrapbook belonging to Madonna Ahrens, though the signature is not hers and it also does not match any of Carl's artist friends that I know of. I believe the sketch was done from this photograph of Carl taken in the 1890's.
