La Solidad
This painting would have been completed in the summer of 1906, but was not one purchased by
George Wharton James. This one ruined doorway was that was all that remained of La Solidad
in 1906. Carl's wife Madonna claimed this one as hers and it came back to Canada with them. Carl's friend, Mark Hudson, loved the painting as well, and Carl forgot that Madonna had wanted it for herself, so he gave it to Mark. As of September of 2008 it is back in the family.
