This photograph was taken by Frances Benjamin Johnston at Roycroft in 1900. Today it is part of the Frances Johnston Collection. There is no way to prove for certain that the young woman on the right is Martha Niles (a.k.a. Madonna Ahrens) but the resemblance is startling and the timing of the Johnston's visit to Roycroft overlaps with Madonna's brief time as a Roycrofter.
